Why do we need a "Renewable Deal for America"?

Here's why:

* Since 1950—in one lifetime--human population has doubled, and within one more lifetime it will have will have tripled from 3 to 9 billion.

* Exponentially-growing human consumption has outstripped the carrying capacity of the planet –that happened over three decades ago.

* Everywhere we see overwhelming evidence that the foundational support systems of life on earth are being rapidly liquidated

* We are experiencing a mass extinction event:  plants and animals are disappearing at the rate at least 1,000 times the rate of new species creation;  17,000 species lost annually in rainforests alone;  up to 30,000 annually worldwide...
